I took some nudes out in the garden to celebrate World Naked Gardening Day. We don’t have quite enough privacy to actually garden nude (yet!), but one day I will, in honor of Ruth Stout and the entire human family.

About a month ago Hannah & I had a root-digging weekend to gather burdock, dandelion, & chicory roots. Our little party was a lovely way to celebrate the change in season and the roots which become stronger and more potent during the cold. Burdock plants are very deeply and rooted and difficult to remove from the rocky soil around here. We used pitchforks and shovels and spades, but mostly our loving hands. Hannah’s boyfriend, Ben Marshall, took some pictures with his 35mm camera. I think they are beautiful.
Here’s a little holiday shopping guide for any of you that may be interested in picking up some original artwork, prints, or other fancy products with collages all over them.
If you’re shopping for original art, you can use coupon code SOLSTICE right here at Paper Whistle during checkout to receive a 20% discount on your cart total. This is the best offer all year, and, to give you a little holiday breathing room, it’s good through January 14th, 2013. Enjoy.
Society6 carries a selection of my prints (you can even get them pre-framed), as well as products like pillows, phone cases, cards and more. The pillows are new and I’m really excited about them. Also, if there’s an artwork you’d like that you don’t see available as a print or product, just get in touch and I’ll do my best to make it happen.
Saatchi Online also carries some of my prints, offering large format and canvas options, too.
Happy holidays!
