False Door at r.MFA
My recent series “False Door” will be on exhibit at the (brand new!) Museum of Fine Art in Rochester, New Hampshire. The grand opening of the museum is March 3rd from 7:00-9:30 pm and my work will be on display in the main gallery though April 6th. More show details below.

Afternoon Light
I’m beginning to feel comfortable in my new studio space. The afternoon light is marvelous.

God Playing Dice, in progress
I started working on God Playing Dice way back in 2010 while we were still in Charlotte. This was the first of my ‘The Other Is Looking In On You” series and it’s very close to my heart because it single-handedly inspired a new direction for my work. Before this piece I’d been working primarily on square boards, so the 11×14 landscape format was a little bit out of my comfort zone. This was also the first piece to include my tiny cut out figures
The first three images are from my Charlotte (bedroom) studio. This piece started as a real mess–in a good, fun way. Lots of collage layers and thin paint and funny colored pencil marks. Keep it loose:
These two are close up details of the finished piece. I liked the first one so much that I gave it its own subtitle: “Pyramid Building Ritual”.

On The Beach Print
I snapped some pictures of ‘On the Beach‘ before i mailed it out the other day. It’s a nice, big 11×15″ print on a 13×19″ sheet (happens to be the the same size as the original).
