I’ve had my eyes on Macha Jewelry for some time now.  Owned and operated by Bernice Kelly out of London, England, Macha is a truly wonderful synthesis of expert craftsmanship, elegant design, and powerful symbolism.  Awhile back we made contact and decided to work together on a collaboration/trade.  I created illustrations for her new line in exchange for some lovely jewelry, and I’ve been dying to tell you all about it and show off the results!

This project required that I incorporate photographs of her jewelry designs into my typical collage style.  The symbols and subject matter present in Macha jewelry fit right into my interests, so this was an especially fun project.  I’m now the proud owner of Dave the Snake and the Snake Bone rings, and I can tell you they are truly beautiful.   Here’s a big thank you to Bernice Kelly, an amazing designer and artisan (not to mention an all around lovely person).  Be sure to check out her beautiful work at her website, etsy store and facebook page.
