I worked with the French band, The Cobblestones, on album artwork for their new release, “Highlight of Superficial Provocation”. The album is a beautiful psychedelic retreat, I’ve been listening to it everyday in my studio. The music is warm and reminds me of good memories that I can’t quite put my finger on. The cover image is from my 2009 Dark Crystal series, entitled Intuition.

I worked with Russian producer Vladislav Kudryavtsev (aka Monokle) for the cover of his newest release, In Frame. We ended up choosing Infrared, an existing artwork that seemed fitting. In Frame pairs Monokle with Galun (Sergey Galunenko) who performs lovely atmospheric vocals. Check it out here and then go download it for free. I’ve been listening to this CD for days now, I love it!

Here’s some brand new album artwork I created for Painted Face. She debuted a couple songs on her myspace page, so go check out the new music & visuals!
This project was a bit atypical for me because I had to call on my photoshop skills to work Allie into the scene. I was provided with some digital pictures of her taken by Duy Tran. I removed the backgrounds and then printed out a bunch of little Allie paper dolls. Using traditional collage and painting techniques, I gave her all new clothes, then built the scene around her. Anyway…it was quite different than I usually work and a bit of a challenge, but I’m pleased with the results.

Yay!–I can finally show you some more pictures of the new Fictionist CD, which came out on Tuesday (at iTunes and amazon and everywhere else, grab one). I just got my own copy in the mail, so I gave a try at taking some ‘product shots’. Graphic design is by Rob Carmichael and the photo of the band is by Rick Egan.
This is definitely the most involved project I’ve ever been a part of, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

I just got my copy of Here We Cease Our Motion by Bird and Flower. It’s a masterpiece. Give it a listen here, then go get the vinyl–you won’t be disappointed.
