Collaboration with Gretchen Jones

2

I’m excited to share a little secret with you. I’ve been planting the seeds of collaboration with Gretchen Jones. If you don’t already know, she is a Brooklyn-based (but totally west coast infused) designer who is redefining all my notions about fashion. You may remember her as the winner of Project Runway Season 8! Check out a few of her lovely pieces for Fall/Winter 2011.

I’ll keep you posted on this project as things unfold! You can see what she has to say about it here.

The Blue Book // WAFA Journal

1

Here’s a sneak peek at the big, beautiful WAFA blue book.  It’s not finished yet, I just added my touch and will be sending it on to Sundry Sullen.  The Blue Book was initiated by Anthony Zinonos and includes work by Jesse Draxler, Mudchicken, Brandon Wilson and myself.  It will be documented in full when it’s all done.  Stay tuned…

The WAFA Future Journal is complete!  It was the first in an ongoing project involving themed collaborative journals shared by members of the collective.  The future journal was initiated by JENKINS in early 2010 and it made rounds through the UK, New Zealand, and the United States, wrapping up in September 2010.

If you’re in the neighborhood, you can see this book in person at he Paragraph Gallery in Kansas City, MO.  It will be included in a show entitled “Pages: Book as venue, medium, and catalyst” which opens in November and will run through until early January.

Artists participating in this journal (roughly in order):
JENKINS
ANTHONY ZINONOS
SUNDRY SULLEN
BRANDI STRICKLAND
MUDCHICKEN
BRANDON WILSON
JESSE DRAXLER

Postcard from Michael Dumontier & Neil Farber

0

I follow the blog “Personal Message” which is an outlet for the collaborative work of Michael Dumontier & Neil Farber.  A few weeks ago they wrote a post offering to send free postcards to anyone interested.  So, I fired off some nerdy fan mail with my address.  And, hallelujah, I got a postcard!

It says:  “taking his seat on the rock of ineptitude.”  perfect. perfect. Thank you Michael, thank you Neil!
