This is my first ever show on the west coast.   I sent 7 brand new pieces, all for sale, and affordable!  If you’re in the Portland area tonight, check it out.  The show is based on the idea of superstition, and there’s going to be lots of good stuff for your eyes to enjoy.  PLUS,  I hear they throw good parties.  Full details below.

Superstition: Art that Stands in Awe

PORTLAND, OR — NEMO presents Superstition: Art that Stands in Awe, a mixed-media exhibit, curated by NEMO, opening Friday, June 5, 2009, 6-10pm. The show will run through Monday, June 22, 2009 at NEMO: 1875 SE Belmont Street in Portland, OR. The opening reception will include special musical guests.

Superstition highlights the work of illustration, print, drawing, painting, and mixed media artists. The theme of the show is superstition, the excessive belief in magical and fantastical ideas. The work presented will demonstrate the ways in which art can foster a world of beliefs full of color and escape from the depression that exists in reality.
