The literary magazine One Story will soon hold its annual Debutante Ball to raise funds and celebrate burgeoning wordsmiths.

Last year I donated a large piece inspired by Seth Fried‘s Frost Mountain Picnic Massacre. I was asked to donate again this year, and decided to stick with the theme of Seth’s story (it’s a pretty amazing story, I could make lots of work about it!). This one is a 5×7″ collage/drawing/painting on Arches paper, and it features people being blown up at the picnic! It will be silently auctioned at the event.

Plus, Seth will be featured as a debutante this year, what with the publication of his new book and all! If you’re in the Brooklyn area, grab a ticket and go.
